Welcome to MOMS Club!
Welcome to the MOMS Club of North Beaverton, Oregon. We are a local chapter of the international non-profit support group specifically aimed at supporting moms who choose to stay at home with their children, including those who work out of their homes, as well as those who work part-time.
Nationally, the MOMS Club has over 2,000 chapters and 100,000 members. We are the only international support group specifically designed for all at-home mothers and we'd like to have you as a member too! MOMS Club is unique in that we welcome children at all our activities. Most activities are held during the day when mothers need support the most. Our goals include providing a forum for relevant topics, engaging in activities enriching the lives of our children, and performing service projects to benefit children and families. For more information about MOMS Club in general, check out the International MOMS Club website. | Diaper Drive!![]() The top image is BEFORE our donation of nearly 10,000 diapers. Did you know that food stamps may not
be used to purchase diapers? Did you know that WIC does not cover assistance with diapers? In 2010 we became aware of these facts and after a little research to find out where needy families in our area can get diaper assistance: Northwest Children's Outreach. NCO provides diapers and other items (clothing, basic needs, etc) to needy children. Every other agency we talked to also received diapers from Northwest Children's Outreach for distribution. In fact, Northwest Children's Outreach supports 140 agencies in Oregon and Washington. This organization is helping so many of our local families in need, but their requests for assistance are up 50% from last year, and going up every year. Since 2010, the North Beaverton MOMs Club has worked with local retailers and Tualatin Hills Recreation Centers to run a DIAPER DRIVE! MOMS Clubs from around the area compete with each other to collect as many diapers for NCO as possible, in addition to cash donations that are used for purchasing yet more diapers..... let's face it, there's never an end of wet baby diapers - and every Mom should have diapers for their little ones! Keep an eye on this space for information about our 2012 Diaper Drive, where you can donate, and find out how you can help NCO or learn how you can get involved. |
